Dramatic footage showing the latest progress on Liverpool's stadium expansion plan has been shared online as the club's redeveloped Anfield Road stand begins to take shape.

Works is well underway to add an additional 7,000 seats to ground, which will eventually result in an overall capacity of 61,000 - making Anfield on of the largest stadiums in the Premier League. Prolific YouTube producer Mister Drone UK, has been publishing weekly updates from around the stadium, using his drone to superb effect.

In his latest update - the 37th so far of the series - the videographer's drone footage reveals how construction work has now reached the next level, with the first section of steps now in place in what will be the Anfield Road End's new upper tier.

Also revealed, thanks to a tip-off from a channel subscriber - is the construction of the roof truss, which is being put to together in a nearby carpark, ready to be lifted onto the stand by a crane. In fact, there is no shortage of cranes on site. Speaking in his YouTube video, Mister Drone UK said: "Looking over, I think I can see five cranes? Unless I'm just looking at it and it's two parts to it. And looking again, the steel's gone a little bit higher than last time."

The sweeping drone footage provides supporters and inquisitive on-lookers unparalleled access to the project's progress from the sky, as construction workers continue to work away on the grand undertaking below. The footage includes a flyover of the stadium itself that Mister Drone UK confirmed would now be a weekly feature of his update videos.

Sporting a feel very similar feel to that of Anfield's redeveloped Main Stand, the new Anfield Road stand will boast back-of-house facilities including improved concourses, hospitality lounge and relocation of the family park to a covered position.

The redeveloped Anfield Road Stand is anticipated to be ready for the 2023-24 season and once completed, will create around 400 new matchday jobs.
