ZANESVILLE, Oh – Meet this week’s Animal Shelter Pet of the Week, Momo!
He is a very active, extremely sweet, 6-7 month old, Chocolate Lab who loves playing in the water and chasing balls.
Momo comes full of energy and would love a fur-ever home with a place with plenty of room to run, whether that be a yard or a farm!
General Manager of the Animal Shelter Society April Cohagen-Gibson says he would also love a family with older kids and does well with other pets.
“He’s been surrendered a few months back and so he is struggling. This dog needs to be out. He wants to be around a family. A family with kids, probably want to do older children. Not young. Because he is so active. He wants a place to run. You know, he wants a yard or you know, a farm,” she told us.
The Animal Shelter Society is also gearing up for their 4th Annual Putts for Paws, which will be July 16th at Green Valley Golf Club from 8 AM to 2 PM.
Cohagen-Gibson says they are now accepting teams for the outing as well as Hole Sponsorship.
“We are accepting teams now. They are coming in so you want to get your team membership in. You know, go onto our website, animalsheltersociety.org or contact us here to get that team reserved, because we can only have so many, of course. And then there’s hole sponsors. You know I have a goal this year of 60 Hole Sponsors. It’s only 100 dollars. And you know, that 100 dollars, we can do a lot,” Cohagen-Gibson said.
Also, as we head into Memorial Day Weekend full of barbecues, she also reminds the community to bring their aluminum cans to the recycling bin located in the shelter’s parking lot for disposal. This donation helps raise even more funds for the shelter thanks to a partnership with Muskingum Iron and Metal.
