The Honda Rebel is one of the most popular cruiser bikes on the market, in part thanks to its massive aftermarket.

Motorcycles in their stock form lack the uniqueness and the personality of their owner. That is why customizing bikes is so much fun, and the possibilities are endless with a custom job. Once you customize your bike, it becomes yours. It becomes a reflection of yourself, helps you stand out from the crowd, and helps start conversations. A simple but well-done paint job will have people walking up to you and asking about your machine.

Long gone are the days when custom motorcycles were mostly seen with celebrities or motorcycle club members. The modern custom motorcycle scene has gained wide popularity, with more regular people seeking to ride personalized motorcycles. This has opened up room for customizers to perfect their trade and make a name for themselves. We searched and found these customizers who have done commendable jobs and modified the Honda Rebel to perfection.

Honda gave two gentlemen the chance to customize one of the 2017 Honda Rebel bikes for the Bike Shed 2017 Motorcycle Show. Dan Gold, a renowned UK tattoo artist, and Rus Brown of RB Kustoms delivered a masterpiece of a custom job.

The two customizers blended the BMX and skateboard cultures to create an uber-modern urban custom scrambler. Russ Brown’s touch is visible with the motocross influences on the final look of the Bike.

Twin thing Custom Motorcycles made one of the best modified Honda Rebels 500 out there. They went for a custom chopper look with custom relocated twin exhausts and custom-built relocated indicators and brackets. The customizers chopped the rear end and added a custom steel black rear fender that matched a similar one in the front.

A brown hand-stitched leather seat grants the chopper a more refined look. Also, the customizers relocated the rear lights to go with the seat. Additional leather tank straps and rear Whitehall tires complete the brilliant custom job.

One look at the Honda Rebel 300 or its 500 sibling, and you would be forgiven for disregarding it as a potential donor bike for a custom job. That’s why it takes defiance, courage, and big cojones to take on a not so straight forward choice for a custom motorcycle. Zeus showed that everything was possible with their Honda Rebel 300 project.

The Bike went through a total transformation that is far removed from its original form. The Thai customizer undertook a radical redesign of the Rebel, and his touch is evident on every inch of the bike. The result is a café racer that is simple, proportional, and with classical looks that is hard to better. For sure, attention to detail and pursuit of perfection went into this build.

Customizers Tokwa party Garage from the Philippines got to work on the 2018 Honda Rebel 500 and turned into a good-looking bobber. The Rebel's 45.5 horsepower liquid-cooled straight twin shared with the CBR500R provided a great platform to build a stylish bobber ready to conquer the streets.

The most glaring additions to the Bike are custom fork covers and custom fenders, and an aluminum belly pan that transforms and gives the Rebel a unique look. Other changes included a custom seat, custom battery box, Kellerman lights, and a modified SC Racing exhaust system. The all-black paint job on the Bike completes the build with it a dark mean look.

This custom job results from a collaborative effort between Honda Europe and French custom wizards FCR Original to create two CMX1100 Rebel custom bikes. The resulting masterpieces are a celebration of the dual personality exhibited by Honda’s twin-cylinder cruiser.’

The first part of the duo is the Rebel 1100 Sport, which took the standard Rebel and turned it into a stripped-back, road-focused naked bike. The bike features a modified swing arm, blacked-out Öhlin’s shocks, and a 17in rim borrowed from the Honda CB500F. The rims are wrapped in Dunlop D212 tire, and a louder custom stainless-steel exhaust complete the bike’s looks.

The second part of the duo made by FCR Original is the CMX Bobber which has a different personality from its sibling. It has that classical cruiser look, complete with balloon tires, tiny fenders, and a single seat. The Bobber keeps the swingarm and suspension from the donor bike. However, the front suspension is lowered by 25mm.

FCR Original added a pair of custom-made black spoked rims dressed in chunky Bridgestone rubber to complete the bobber look. They also added aluminum handlebars and perforated leather seats for a more traditional look.
